TOOMBS COUNTY ATHLETICS

A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE

Our coaches and student-athletes are working and striving each day to “be a DOG.” To be a DOG means to be Driven, to be an Overcomer, and to Grind!

BE DRIVEN:

We want to chase excellence in everything that we do. The majority of people in the world are comfortable with average, we want to bust the doors of average off the hinges! Good, better, best, never let it rest, until the good is better and the better is best! We are chasing BEST every
single day.

BE AN OVERCOMER:

We will be persistent in our pursuit. We will keep straining, keep striving, keep pushing, keep pressing because we know that failure only happens when we choose to quit. No matter what we will keep out eyes forward and we will PRESS ON!

GRIND:

We know and believe that all hard work yields a profit. We will lean in to the things that are difficult because we know that this is the refining process that must take place for improvement! As Alan Armstrong has been quoted saying, “Champions do not become champions when they win the event, but in the hours, weeks, months and years they spend preparing for it. The victorious performance itself is merely the demonstration of their championship character.” EMBRACE THE GRIND!

"Being a student athlete in the late 90's and early 2000's, I was taught the importance of hard work, integrity, and self discipline by the coaches that invested in my life. I attribute much of this investment to the success I've experienced in my career since graduating in 2001. I'm forever grateful to be a Toombs County Bulldog.
