On Wednesday the Toombs County Bulldog Baseball team had all cylinders firing on offense defeating Screven County 16-1 in the second game of a home and home series.
The Bulldogs got on the board in the first inning when Kipp Mosley’s sac fly scored one run for the Bulldogs. They would add seven runs in the second inning with Tucker Braddy, Cameron Ledford, Dawson Brantley, Trayvone Harris, and Brantley Upshaw all contributing in the big inning with RBIs. The Bulldog offense saw the ball really well throughout the evening, racking up 11 hits in the game. Jackson Jenkins, Dawson Brantley, and Brantley Upshaw each collected multiple hits for Toombs.
Lucas O’Conner was the winning pitcher for the DAWGS. The righty delivered four innings of strong work on the mound, allowing one hit and one run while striking out two.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Thursday afternoon as they face off against 5 A Coffee County in Douglas at 6 PM.
