Bulldog Baseball Defeats Swainsboro 3-2 in Walk-Off Fashion.

Lyons, GA. – March 3, 2023 | Coach Derek James

The Toombs County Bulldogs won their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off at the end of the game to defeat Swainsboro. The game was tied at two with Toombs batting in the bottom of the seventh when Will Watts was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, and ending the game.

The pitching was strong on both sides. The Bulldogs combined a two hitter behind Gavin Hall and Trayvone Harris. Gavin Hall started on the mound for Toombs County and went five innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out two. Trayvone Harris threw two strong innings in relief out of the bullpen and received the win

Swainsboro scored one run in the first inning but the Dawgs evened things up in the second inning. Swainsboro added one more run in the 5th but Toombs tied it up in the 6th and walked it off in the 7th.

Dawson Brantley went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Bulldogs in hits.
