On Friday afternoon, the Toombs County Bulldog Baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-0 loss to Appling County. This loss put the Bulldogs region record at 4-2.

In the game, the Pirates would take the lead early on an error in the second inning and never look back. The Bulldogs would collect seven hits on the night but could never scratch a run.  Wil Watts and Trayvone Harris both managed multiple hits for Dawgs. Harris and Watts each collected two hits to lead the team.

Harris took the loss for Toombs County. The righty surrendered four runs on two hits over three innings, striking out four.
