The Toombs County Bulldog Baseball teams traveled over to Sylvania on Tuesday night and fell to Screven County 16-6.
In the first inning, the Bulldogs got their offense started when they scored two runs on a Trayvone Harris double. They would add three more runs in the second inning on another double by Brantley Upshaw. Things were looking up for the Bulldogs until Screven County pulled away in the second inning with 12 runs.
Gavin Hall started on the mound for Toombs. The right-hander allowed three hits and seven runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one. Jackson Jenkins, Harris, and Dawson Brantley each contributed in relief for Bulldogs.
Dawson Brantley led the Bulldogs with three hits in three at bats.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday afternoon as they face the Screven County Gamecocks in Lyons at 5:45 PM.
