Bulldog Baseball Rolls Past Claxton 16-2 in Five Innings

The Toombs County Bulldogs had everything working on Wednesday, winning big over the Claxton Tigers 16-2

The Dawgs opened up scoring in the first inning, when Trayvone Harris tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring a run. They finished the first inning with 6 total runs.

The Bulldogs also put up seven runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was driven by doubles from Brantley Upshaw, Will Watts, and Kipp Mosley. Jackson Jenkins added a single in the inning.

Harris, who had a solid night at the plate, also got the win for Toombs County. The righty only surrendered two runs on three hits over five innings He struck out six and walked one.

Toombs County racked up 13 hits in the game. Harris, Mosley, Ryder Sears, and Jesus Quintero each collected multiple hits for the dawgs. Harris led the Bulldogs with three hits in three at bats.
