Bulldog Baseball Wins 5-4 in Walk-Off Fashion in First Game of Region Series vs Vidalia

On Tuesday afternoon, the Toombs County Bulldog Baseball team opened up a key region series against rival Vidalia with a dramatic, bottom of the 7th walk off to win 5-4.

The Bulldogs were down 4-3 going into the bottom 7th but were able to rally when Ryder Sears was hit by a pitch with one out. Tyson Brantley followed with a walk. Dawson Brantley would follow with a double scoring Sears to tie the game at 4-4. Trayvone Harris sealed the victory with a single on a 1-2 count after fouling off numerous pitches with two strikes, scoring T. Brantley to win the game.

Harris picked up the game one win for the Dawgs. Harris went seven innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out two.

The Bulldogs would total seven hits in the game. Brantley Upshaw and Dawson Brantley each managed multiple hits for the Dawgs with both managing two hits a piece to lead the team.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday starting at 4:00 PM in Vidalia. They will be playing a double header.
