The Toombs County Competition Cheerleading Team took the mat for the final time of their 2022 season this past Saturday in the GHSA State Championship in Macon. There were a total of 25 Co-ed teams in the state of Georgia all competing in one division and 16 of those teams got the chance to compete for a state championship this past Saturday. Out of the advancing 16 teams, Toombs County finished 10th in the state! The Cheer Dawgs sought to make a name for themselves in the highly competitive Co-ed division and make their community proud. 

The cheer team competed in 6 total regular season competitions, bringing home four 1st place finishes and two 2nd place finishes! Their hard work paid off when they came home from Sectionals ranked 12th in the State and set a goal to clean up their routine with hopes of placing in the top 10 at the state competition. Their goal was achieved and it was a sweet ending to their 2022 competition season!
