Lyons, GA. – February 22, 2024 | Coach Derek James

The Toombs County Bulldogs baseball team delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday, blanking the Bryan County Redskins 5-0 thanks to a stellar pitching performance from Trayvone Harris and a timely offensive attack led by Brantley Upshaw.

Harris was lights-out on the mound, striking out a phenomenal 10 batters over seven scoreless innings. He allowed only one hit and walked three, showcasing his impressive command and control.

The Bulldogs wasted no time getting on the board, plating four runs in the top of the second inning. A fielder’s choice, Harris’ RBI single, and Upshaw’s two-run single gave them a comfortable lead.

Upshaw was a force at the plate, going 3-for-4 on the day. He led the team in both hits and RBIs, demonstrating his offensive prowess.

The Bulldogs’ defense was flawless, committing no errors throughout the game.

With this win, the Bulldogs continue their momentum as they travel to face the Metter Tigers in their next game. They will play at 5:30pm.
