Congratulations are in order for Casey Cantwell and Aniston Powell, two standout athletes from Toombs County, as they officially signed their national letters of intent to play college softball!

Casey Cantwell, the 2024 Region 3 Single-A Player of the Year and First Team All-State honoree, will continue her academic and athletic career at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. Her impressive accomplishments on the field and in the classroom have paved the way for this exciting opportunity.

Aniston Powell, another key contributor to the Lady Dawgs’ success, has signed with Brewton-Parker College, where she will bring her talent and dedication to the next level.

Both Casey and Aniston have been integral members of the Toombs County softball program, not just for their remarkable skills but also for their leadership and impact on and off the field. They leave behind a legacy that will inspire future players for years to come.
