September 28, 2026 | By GameChanger Media | Head Coach Hayne Brant

Cyleigh Ennis drove in four runs on three hits Monday as Toombs County rolled past Savannah Christian 19-0.

Ennis set the tone early with an RBI single in the first inning before adding a two-run double in the second. She added another RBI single in the third to finish with four RBIs.

Toombs County jumped on top in the first inning when Ennis singled down the left-field line, Londyn Johnson singled to center, and Saige White followed with a sacrifice fly.

The Bulldogs continued to build their lead in the second. Ennis’ two-run double and an RBI single from Lindy Morris helped extend the advantage.

Toombs County broke the game open in the third and fourth innings. Taylor Bland and Peyton Bland each drove in a run in the third, with Ennis adding another RBI single.

The Bulldogs then erupted for 10 runs in the fourth. Presley Neesmith, Marley Nash, TaNaya Simpson, Johnson, White and Kylie Carroll all contributed during the big inning, while Savannah Christian was also hurt by a pair of errors.

“We came out with a lot of energy and did a good job of putting pressure on them from the first inning,” Coach Brant said. “I really liked our approach at the plate and the way we kept competing even after we got a big lead. Our pitchers also did a great job of attacking the zone, and defensively we played a clean game.”

Toombs County finished with 18 hits and five walks. Ennis led the way with three hits and four RBIs, while several other Bulldogs collected multiple hits. Johnson also drew two walks.

In the circle, Peyton Bland earned the win, allowing just one hit and no runs over four innings. She struck out five and walked one.

The Bulldogs committed no errors. Elly Haygood recorded five defensive chances to lead the team.

Toombs County returns home Tuesday to take on Appling.
