The Toombs County Bulldogs put together a strong team effort on Thursday, defeating Tattnall County 2-0 behind a dominant performance on the mound.

Ty Hutchinson was outstanding, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing just four hits, striking out five, and walking only one over seven innings of work.

The Bulldogs broke through in the third inning when Cameron Ledford delivered a sacrifice fly to give Toombs a 1-0 lead. They added an insurance run later, and Hutcheson and the defense did the rest.

Joseph Owens and Nick Carroll led the Bulldogs at the plate with two hits each, while Ledford chipped in with an RBI. The Bulldogs were aggressive on the bases, racking up seven stolen bases, with Owens and Carroll swiping multiple bags.

Defensively, Toombs was flawless, committing no errors.

With the win, the Bulldogs will now hit the road to face Pierce County on Friday.
