On Thursday, the Toombs County Bulldog Softball team traveled across the county to take on rival Vidalia Indians. In a game that was close through 5 innings, the Indians would eventually pull away and win by a 7-1 score.
The Lady Dogs look to bounce back next Monday, with a home game versus East Laurens.
We played extremely well for 5 innings tonight. We lost our focus in the 6th inning and gave up 4 runs. Vidalia is a great team and they were able to capitalize on our mistakes. We had plenty of chances to take the lead early but we couldn’t get a big hit. We have to continue to get better and build on the first 5 innings we played tonight.
