On Tuesday, the Lady Net Dogs traveled to Savannah to take on Savannah Arts and Tattnall County.
In the JV match versus Savannah Arts, the Bulldogs lost 25-23 and 25-13. Estrella Barbosa played well, contributing 11 service points, 4 aces, 2 assists, and 2 digs between the two sets. Emma Wright also had a strong night with 9 service points and 2 aces. Arianna Hill and Alivia Patrick both had 3 kills. This puts the JV at a 4-2 record on the year. Keep fighting, ladies!
The Varsity Lady Dogs struggled to get anything going against Savannah Arts, losing 25-8 and 25-6 in straight sets.
In the second match versus Tattnall County, The Varsity Net Dogs did bounce back to win in straight sets, 25-21 and 25-23. There was plenty of drama in this match. In the first set, down 21-17, Vivianna Rodriguez stepped to the serve line and served 8 straight points to help the Bulldogs pick up the victory 25-21. In the second set, down 23-21, Anabel Cruz closed the match by serving the last 4 straight points for a 25-23 win.
Rodriguez ended the night with 10 service points, 2 aces, 1 assist, and 3 digs. Anabel Cruz had 10 service points and 6 aces. Other contributors were Zariaha Newkirk with 7 kills and Anna Patrick with 4 kills.
The Lady Net Dogs move to 12-3 overall and 6-3 in region play.
