Lady Netdawgs Show Resilience in Split Versus Ware and Bradwell

On Thursday, the Lady Netdawgs traveled to Ware County for a doubleheader. The varsity squad faced a challenging start, succumbing to Ware County with scores of 21-25 in both sets. However, they bounced back, clinching their first win of the season by defeating Bradwell Institute with commanding scores of 25-11 and 25-14.

In their face-off with Ware County, Anabel Cruz made an impression with 18 service points and 9 aces. Scarlett Stanley was a defensive pillar, securing a remarkable 25 digs. Meanwhile, Martasia Burton facilitated the team with 6 assists, and both Makayla Brewton and Arianna Hill chipped in with 3 kills each.

The Lady Netdawgs carried their momentum into the second match against Bradwell Institute. Emma Wright stood out, leading the varsity with 10 service points and 5 aces. Anabel Cruz mirrored this performance with her own set of 5 aces. Further, Cruz, along with Scarlett Stanley and Arianna Hill, contributed 5 service points each. Martasia Burton showcased her skills with 8 assists, and both Brewton and Hill marked the scoreboard with 4 kills apiece.

The JV team experienced a roller-coaster match. After a promising start with a 25-17 win in the first set, they faced setbacks with scores of 14-25 and 11-15 in the subsequent sets. Emma Wright paved the way for JV, delivering 8 service points, 3 aces, and 6 assists. Alivia Patrick impressed with 2 service points, both being aces, and contributed 5 kills. Meanwhile, Elida Cruz provided 5 service points, and Maggie Rodriguez bolstered the defense with 7 digs.

The Lady Netdawgs are gearing up for their next match, scheduled for Monday at Vidalia.
