Lady NetDawgs Show Resilience in Win Over Bryan County.

On Tuesday, the Lady NetDawgs journeyed to Bryan County, facing off against both Burke County and Bryan County teams. The initial match against Burke ended in defeat with scores of 25-22 and 25-15. However, the team rallied and secured a victory against Bryan, recording scores of 25-22, 28-30, and a decisive 15-6.

In the Burke contest, Makayla Brewton showcased her skills with 6 Service points, complemented by 2 aces and 2 kills. Emma Wright chimed in with 6 service points and an ace, while Arianna Hill and McKenzie Kilgore added 5 and 3 kills, respectively. Martasia Burton also made her mark, contributing 8 assists.

The Bryan match spotlighted Arianna Hill and Anna Patrick, who both ignited in the third set. Arianna’s exceptional service resulted in 9 consecutive points, inclusive of 2 aces, and duringthe same time, Patrick exhibited her prowess at the net, recording 7 kills. She concluded the martch with an impressive 16 kills, while Hill tallied 14 service points and 3 aces. Brewton contributed 10 kills, Hill added another 6 kills, and the duo of Burton and Anabel Cruz provided 14 and 15 assists, respectively.

Although it wasn’t their most consistent performance, the Lady NetDawgs demonstrated resilience. The squad looks ahead to their next match at Jenkins HS in Savannah, followed by the much-anticipated Area Tournament. Their current standing is an overall 12-7 record, with a regional score of 4-3.
