On Tuesday night, the Toombs County soccer teams opened up their regular season campaigns, hosting AAAA Southeast Bulloch.
In the girls match, the Toombs County Lady Soccer Dogs battled hard to keep the score 1-0 in the 1st half. SEB would add 3 goals in the 2nd half to finish the lady dogs off, 4-0.
In the boys match, the Bulldogs scored 1st on a Braylen Dietrich header on a corner kick, and took a 1-0 advantage into the 2nd half. The Bulldogs took just 90 seconds to score a goal in the 2nd half when senior Gustavo Delgado netted his 1st of 2 goals on the evening. Yovanny Zamorano also added 2 goals, while Daniel Santoyo scored his 1st high school goal. The bulldogs ended up taking the match 6-0.
Both teams will be back in action Thursday as they travel to Wayne County. The JV teams square off on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023 at home with matches staring at 4 PM versus East Laurens.
