Lake Dawgs Fish Well at Lake Oconee as Two Qualify for State

The Toombs County Bass Fishing Team, referred to as the Lake Dawgs, had great success at Lake Oconee this weekend. The team includes three, two-man teams coached by Joey Montford.

All teams were able to make it to the podium. Neal Braddy and Hunter Hitchcock placed 6th overall with a total weight of 13 lbs 15oz. These two have qualified for the state finals at Clarks Hill in May. To qualify for the state tournament, the team had to place in the top 15 at one of the regional tournaments.

The next state qualifying tournament will be held at Mega Ramp in West Point on March 18, 2023.
