The MatDawgs are hunting down the best competition from around the southeast this season. This week, their hunt took them to Dalton, GA to the Dalton Carpet Classic. This tournament included two of the top 10 2A teams and three of the top 10 3A teams across the state. In addition to the top talents in Georgia, the powerhouse Tennessee private school, McCallie School and powerhouse program and #3 ranked team in Alabama, Thompson Hugh School were in attendance. The tournament ended with the MatDawgs topping all Georgia teams, but falling short to both out-of-state programs. The team was led by first place finishes for Wyatt Bunch at 132 and Lucas Coley at 175.
