Men’s Basketball Celebrates Senior Night with 65-55 Victory Over Windsor Forest

During Tuesday night’s Senior Night celebration, Toombs County faced off against Windsor Forest in a challenging matchup, ultimately securing a 65-55 victory. The evening was dedicated to honoring the men’s team seniors: Dominic Eason, Jesus Quintero, Juju Cutler, and Marion James.

Jesus Quintero took the lead for the team, scoring 21 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, dishing out 2 assists, and making 3 steals. Dominic Eason contributed significantly with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Marion James added 8 points, 5 rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block, while Juju Cutler rounded out the senior contributions with 4 points, 5 rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Junior Mike Polke and sophomore Parker Stanley also played pivotal roles, scoring 7 points each, with Polke adding 5 rebounds and 4 assists, and Stanley bringing down 9 rebounds and 2 assists.

In a special moment, Coach Goodwin introduced Dominic’s and Juju’s freshman brothers into the game during the final 2 minutes, allowing the siblings to share the court.

With this win, Toombs County’s record improves to 21-2 overall and remains undefeated at 10-0 in the region. The team looks forward to their upcoming games, playing away at Pierce County on Friday with the girls at 6:00 PM and the men at 7:30 PM. Saturday’s games will be at Tattnall County, with the girls starting at 2:00 PM and the men following at 3:30 PM, concluding the regular season.

The regional tournament kicks off on Monday, starting with the 6th and 7th seed teams facing each other. The Dogs will play later in the week.
