The Toombs County Bulldogs closed out their regular season securing two hard-fought victories against Pierce County (51-43) and Tattnall County (42-37). While these games didn’t impact their already secured region tournament position, the Bulldogs showed their grit and determination to finish strong.

Senior Dominic Eason led the charge, averaging a commanding 14 points per game. His double-double performance against Pierce County (14 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals) highlighted his dominance on both ends of the court. Parker Stanley and Mike Polke provided valuable support, averaging 10 points and 4.5 steals per game, respectively.

The Bulldogs’ defense proved to be a force, with Gavin Fletcher’s impressive 7 steals across both games and Jesus Quintero contributing 5 steals. Each player stepped up, showcasing their commitment to teamwork and shutting down their opponents.

With these wins, the Bulldogs set a school record of 23 wins and achieved a perfect 12-0 record in region play, another first for Toombs County. They currently boast a remarkable 14-game winning streak, setting the stage for a thrilling postseason run.

“Now let’s carry it on into postseason and see if we can make it to Macon!” Coach Goodwin’s words echo the team’s ambition. With their talent, teamwork, and determination, the Bulldogs have their sights set on the ultimate prize: a trip to the state championship in Macon.
