Toombs County High School anglers AJ Bagby and Tessa Jones captured first place at the GHSA Qualifying Tournament at Clarks Hill Lake on March 7.

The duo brought in an impressive total catch of 19 pounds, 1 ounce, earning the top finish in the competition and punching their ticket to the GHSA State Tournament in May.

Their strong performance highlights the continued success of the Toombs County “Lake Dawgs” fishing team.
