The Toombs County Bulldogs capped off a historic 2025 season by finishing as State Runner-Up, matching the school record with 13 wins in a single season.
The Bulldogs fell just short in the State Championship game, dropping a hard-fought 17–13 decision to undefeated Worth County on Tuesday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Despite the loss, Toombs County closes the season with an impressive 13–2 overall record and another Region Championship added to the program’s growing legacy. The Bulldogs also completed the 2025 season having remained in the AJC Top 10 Rankings for 119 consecutive weeks, a new school record and a testament to the program’s sustained excellence.
The success of the season was made possible by the dedication and sacrifices of everyone involved—from the players and coaches to the fans, cheerleaders, Red Coats, and students—who continue to make Friday nights special in Toombs County.
This senior class leaves behind an outstanding legacy, finishing their careers with:
• 4 consecutive postseason appearances
• 2 region championships
• 1 state championship
• 1 state runner-up finish
• 3 quarterfinal appearances
• 2 semifinal appearances
• 11–2 postseason record
• 43–10 overall career record
