On Monday, April 24, our Lady Bulldog Soccer season came to an end in the GHSA AA state quarterfinals.

The girls traveled to Kennesaw to take on the #5 ranked Mt. Paran Christian Eagles. The matched remained scoreless until 3 minutes left in the 1st half, when the Eagles would take a 1-0 lead. The Eagles would strike again, 2 minutes into the 2nd half, and add a 3rd a few minutes later. The Bulldogs would get one back, with Freshman Emerson Powell scoring on a corner kick from Maritza Zamorano, but that would be all the bulldogs could score, and the match ended 3-1 in favor of Mt. Paran.

“I am so proud of this group of girls. We have had a goal for several years of making it to the quarterfinals, but we have come really close a few times, but this group was determined and was able to break through and get there. They accomplished this as a 4 seed coming out of a tough region, which meant winning 2 playoff matches on the road.” Coach Jeremy Moore had to say.
