GLENNVILLE, GA. – AUGUST 6, 2022
Our girls played really well today against a great Wayne county team. We battled and played great defense. Shay was very strong in the circle. Although we only had one hit we barreled a bunch of balls but Wayne just made some great plays defensively.
Both teams were strong in the pitcher’s circle on Saturday, but Wayne County was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Toombs County Varsity Lady Dogs Softball on Saturday. Shay Stringer started the game for Toombs County Varsity Lady Dogs and recorded 17 outs.
A single by Riley Lumley in the fifth inning was a positive for Toombs County Varsity Lady Dogs.
Stringer started the game for Toombs County Varsity Lady Dogs. The lefty lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out three and walking one.
